Author: jaybird210 Surnames: Wilson, Chandler, Dean, Green Classification: biography Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.allegany/9840/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Guardian Records Page 256 The people of the state of New york to Eugenia T Dean of the town of West Almond in the county of Allegany and the State of New York Greetings Whereas Samuel Wilson who is great Uncle of Harriet Experience Chandler and Sarah E Chandler Minor Children of Geo W Chandler of Town of Angelica in the county of Allegany has by his petition to the surrogate of our County Allegany represented that said minors are under age of fourteen years to wit Harriet Experience Ten years of age on the 23 day of March last and sarah exp Chandler was 9 years of age on the 21 of day of August last. That said minors reside in the town of West Almond in the said County of Allegany that no Guardian has been appointed for Them that has to preserve and protect the legal rights of said minor it was necessary that the same proper person should be appointed the guardian of of her 1 persons and estates and playing that you the said Eugenia T Dean be appointed Guardian until the sai! d should arrive at the age of 14 and until another guardian shall be duly appointed and Whereas such proceedings were had before said surrogate upon the said petition, that 6th day of Febuary the year eight hundred and 77 the said surrogate did order that you the said Eugenia T Dean be appointed guardian of the person and estate of the said minor agreeable to prayer of the said petition on your making excuting and filing with the said surrogate Such bonds or obligation as is required by the statute in such case made and provided and you the said Eugenia T Dean having executed to said minors bond with sufficent security approved by and filed with said surrogate according to the form and requirements of said statute we did therefore by the presents constitute and appoint you the said Eugenia T Dean Guardian of the persons and estates of said minors In Testimony whereof we have caused the seal of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed witness James S Green of our Said Count! y of Allegany at Angelica in the said county, the 6th day of Feburary in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and 77 J green surrogate a true copy of the orignial record and examined the 6th day of Febuary 1877 J S Green Surrogate Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
