Author: MaryRhodes505 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.allegany/10091.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Tim - I was in the Surrogates office in Belmont today and found a will for your Oscar A Fuller, who died May 21, 1907 at Granger, NY. It is NOT a will, rather a Petition from his wife, Mary A Fuller to administer his belongings. It also names Eva Redmond, a daughter at Fillmore, NY, Flora Mitchell a daughter at Fillmore NY, Mary Grace Fuller a daughter at Granger NY. The New York State Newspaper Project says there was a newspaper published at Fillmore during this time. This is the newspaper I would check for an obit, if one exists. Author: MaryRhodes505 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.allegany/10086.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Some people do remain elusive. The Willing Town Clerk did confirm her name as Diana Wheeler. Son Gaylord died in Willing and his death record confirms her maiden name. The 1865 census says she was born in Allegany County, so her father was an early settler here. Next step I guess is to pull "Wheeler" wills and see if she is listed as an heir. She either died or left the area after the 1880 census. - Mary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I still have to check all married names of female relatives, to see if I can find where she is buried. Can't find her. Since I re-started my tree I have seen weird things about Diana and husband Rev. John Walden jr. Some say John had up to 7 wives and around 20 children; some list Diana as Diana Wheeler White. Her daughter Edith married into a White family, but Diana? I have not had any answers to queries. Ever hear of any of this strangeness? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am more than happy to post you a copy of the large Family Tree. However, I will need your postal address as I think as it is over 48 pages, it will be too big to email. If you do find anything about the Rich's that lived in USA I would be most interested to know. The only info I have is William V Rich = Grace Boon Children: June, Earl, Nina, Roy and Mae I know nothing about their wives/husbands or children. My personal email address is mcguinnessheather@hotmail.com Perhaps you could let me have yours and your address if you want a copy of the Family Tree. My cousin and I have done this project for the last 20 years and have done very well except for the USA boys. Are there any websites I could use to try and find out more? I'll have to pull it from the museum. Dates don't match yours...but we can see anyway. Lots of Fullers in the Wellsville area. There should be a death record for someone dying in NYS in 1907, perhaps he died out of the state? Short Tract is very near LIvingston County, perhaps a newspaper from Nunda. If you are in New York State, you can order newspapers from the New York State Newspaper Project. Very Handy. Mary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
