    3. The Pine Grove Cemetery is in the town of Hume. We don't have an on-line listing of that cemetery, but the location is listed. Check the Hume reference page and contact the town historian. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyallega/hume.html Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: <Catalogdreamer@aol.com> To: <NYALLEGA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 23, 2003 9:05 AM Subject: [NYAllega] Pine Grove Cemetery > Does anyone have a listing for this cemetery? 2. I found the paper that my grandmother had written out. Abby Schuknecht: 1870-1931 her father was John Schuknecht, born 12 August 1837, d. 1907 her mother ws Frederica Zimmerman, born 16 March 1842, d. 7 April 1904 her grandfather was John Schuknecht, born 26 November 1810, d. 5 November 1892 her grandmother ?? born 15 August 1815, d. 25 May 1893 Abby's siblings: Mary Schuknecht 1876-1907 John F. Schuknecht, born 7 April 1864 at Neubornkof Mecklenburg Schwerin Germany, died 7 May 1956. During the war the family used to take him to Letchworth Park where he could speak with the German prisoners of war who were confined there. Alvena Schuknecht, b. 21 August 1867, d. 14 June 1943 I will ask my father to see if he knows anything about the other Schuknechts buried in Pine Grove. I know that there is one really big monument there. Melissa

    1. [NYAllega] Looking for cemetery site for gggrandparents
    2. My GGGrandparents are purportedly buried in Canaseraga. Does anyone have any listings for any of these cemeteries? I didn't find any listed on the genweb site. I am looking for James and Harriet Carnes. She died in 1937, January 13th. He died three years later in 1940, January 25th. Am also trying to see if her parents are buried with them or in same cemetery. their names are Henrietta and Obed patterson. Obed died sometime after January of 1929 and before the 1930 census. I have no death dates for Henrietta except that it was after 1930 census. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Vicki

    1. [NYAllega] Allegany County, New York Web Page Update
    2. Karen Bush
    3. February Update is finally up. Thank you all for your patience. Sharon Mountford donated a picture of Frank Graham's Mercantile in Friendship. New Obituaries submitted by Melissa Mills are on the Obituary page. Selynda Heselten's Scrapbook has been updated. Some of you have wondered about the past winter and fall pictures -- they are still up. You can get to them by going to "Towns" section. Links are near the bottom of the page. The Black Creek Post Office picture now appears on the article about Black Creek Corners by Neva Gross. You can get to it by going to the New Hudson page. >From time to time I am offered records for the Web Page. Because of the time involved in adding HTML, the only format I will accept for records is in a spread sheet, as I can add the HTML quickly. Records or documents in text format require more time than I now have, so those type of records I am now asking that you submit through the Archives page (link on the main page "Contribute Records". David Samuelsen is doing a wonderful job in building up and maintaining the archives and I would like to see that section grow. Thank you all who have contributed. The page has certainly grown in the past 5 years and your friendliness on this list has made it a very enjoyable experience for me. I hope it has been for you. Enjoy! Karen Bush Allegany Co.
