    2. Bill Hart
    3. If this is the Lena S. PHIPPS who is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship, NY, then the obit is from 1940. Her marker gives the dates 1871-1940. The marker for her husband Frank A, PHIPPS states 1858-1919. Lena PHIPP's parents were John P. STOUT and Alice MAIN. Her maternal grandparents were Erastus and Dorcas MAIN. Her paternal grandparents were Charles G. and Ure Sarah (HART) STOUT. --------- Bill Hart > Subject: [NYAllega] Lena Phipps obit > Date: 7 Oct 2003 15:00:13 -0600 > From: mmills2725@aol.com > To: NYALLEGA-L@rootsweb.com > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Obituary > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BUB.2ACI/6293 > > Message Board Post: > > LENA PHIPPS > No date > > Mrs. Lena PHIPPS, 68, died at her home in Fillmore on Monday evening, following a long period of ill health. > She became considerably worse on Saturday and failed to rally. > > Funeral services were held at her late home on Genesee Street on Thursday afternoon, with the Rev. Surnames: HEAD ODELL Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BUB.2ACI/6295 Message Board Post: I am searching for family members and relatives of Mary Odell? Mary Odell married Dr. Peter Head in 1834. I found them along with their family in the Enfield, Tompkins County, New York 1850 Federal Census. Mary was born: abt 1821. Parents and family are unknown. I know the family has lineage to Ireland as was told by my HEAD family. I also believe that we have family relatives also in Chemung County as well. Curent 1830 census show numerous ODELL and HEAD families in Allegany CO. It appears that the ODELL and HEAD families lived next to or near each other in Cayuga County as well as most of them are on the same census page. Any help linking heads of families together in Mid New York is appreciated. Do you have a bible listing of HEADs or ODELLs? I have the family trace from Dr. Peter Head and his wife Mary E. ODELL 1850 to present in GEDCOM format. Thank You, Scott Simon

We have quite a bit on the Peavey family while so much research is currently going on. We have a public site and a private site that you can check out if interested. This is how we have your line - Alvin7, Newell Jacob6, Hollis5, Jacob4, Samuel3, John2, Wm C1. (not sure if this Wm C is brother of Edward Peve b1666 or not-that's how we have it on our tree but more research is needed). I show that Newell Jacob had brother Alvin Hugh b. 4/13/1872 -I'm guessing your ggrandfather was named after him. This branch has been researched by others for quite some time. I would love to have a gedcom to add to our tree and would love to share info with you which is quite extensive since we are part of a lg group headed up by June Peavey. 2. Stevan A. Resan
    3. Please Post I have traced Abraham Blasier back to Allegheny Co. NY. He appears on the 1840 federal census as living in Independence. His son Joel is buried at Briggs Cemetary- Independence. He was listed in the 1850 federal census as living in the town of Andover. He purchased 30 acres in 1852 from Albro Bundy and added 7 1/2 more in 1855. later in 1855 he sold the land to Piriam Burrows and moved to Wisconsin. Are there any newspaper records or the 1847-1852 school survey records extant that could be searched. Also Abraham Blasiers mother in law Rachael Phillips was 80 years old when listed in the 1850 census and living with them. She might have died before they moved. Also what churches in the area may stll have records? Any assistane anyone can render will be appreciated. Thankyou Stevan A. Resan

Surnames: Peavey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BUB.2ACI/5498.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I have recently attempted to piece together the Peavey branch of my family tree. You see, my great Grandfather, Alvin Hugh Peavey died in 2000, at the age of 100 years of age. I have always heard great stories of his family and have always been told that he was the black sheep, so to speak, of the family. My recent research has lead me to familiar names from these stories, passed down by my grand mother (Alvin Peavey's only Daughter). I believe he was one of eleven children of Newell Jacob Peavey and Rita Leandra Rios. I am sure there has to be some connection to the lineage you have researched from NH and ME.... Please let me know if you are interested in my information, or have any information regarding my information. Thanks - Leo
