They were Ira Brown and Sarah Milliman. I have information on the Milliman line. As far as I know, there was no Indian in that line. Ira Brown was supposed to have been the son of another Ira Brown. A jolly crowd of Friendship sightseers came over Monday evening to see the dam and enjoy a sleighride. They registered and had supper at the Belmont in the following order, H.A.Corbin,J.F.Rice,F.E. Mr John E Buzzard and Miss Mildred Iola Van Horn both of this place [Friendshipb NY] were united in marriage at the home of her mother Mrs Emma Van Horn on Saturday evening June 4th at 8pm.The ceremony was performed in the presence of the two famlies by Rev F J Bayden pastor of First Congregational Church. The young couple are well known residents of this place. The bride is a highly respected young lady is a graduate of our high school, being Valedictorian of the classs of 1920. She is also a graduate from the Friendship training class and has taught in one of the districts near Belmont the past year. The groom is an ingenious young man and one of the proprietors of the Friendship garage. Mr. and Mrs J M Van Horn on Tuesday quietly observed their golden anniversary.James Millard Van Horn and Miss Elizabeth Breadon were united in marriage on the evening of March 12 1890 at Wellsville by the Rev Mr Crittenden pastor of the Wellsville Congregational Church. Friendship Chester Scott who has been in poor health for some time died at 1030 yesterday at his home on Pennsylvania Ave He was 80 years old last March. Owned a drug store 30 years, owned insurance business and was a Justice of the Peace.Member of Universalist church He was a member of Masonic Lodge since the civil war and also the Cuba chapter. He was lame so could not serve in the war but served a year in Comissary dept in Alexandria Va Four years ago they celebrated their golden anniversary. I purchased 2 hugh scrapbooks of newspapers clippings from a Friendship Ny. The clippings start in 1880s to 1970s.The book is full of photos,bios,obits,weddings and general news. I will be glad to post articles. I have similar books of Oregon and have been sending to that list also.Its a treasury of old genealogy. They are not for sale but I will be glad to share data.
