Surnames: ADAMS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BUB.2ACI/5676.2.1 Message Board Post: I, too, have a photo labeled Sweney's Art Shop, Wellsville, NY. I think this photo would have been taken in the early 1900s. From the same family, I also have one marked J.A. Rider Photography and Art Gallery in Wellsville. I think this one was taken in the 1890s. There are two other photos of family members labeled A.A. Adams on 24 Main St., Wellsville, NY. My family's surname is Adams, and all the photos were taken of the parents and sons. We think A. A. Adams is Abraham Adams who m. Nettie. They had three sons, Burrel, Earl, and Lynn. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have many ancestors from Allegany County. Mostly from Friendship, Genesee, Little Genesee, Cuba, Bolivar and some from Scio. The names are Ennis, Webster, Warren, Powers, Kenyon, Maxson, Adams, Brown, Prosser, Griswold, Sweetland. Some came in early 1800's Ashbel, George, and Eli Webster, William Powers (Madison County first then Allegany), William and Paul Ennis (wife Luranna Prosser), Ethan Kenyon, George Leroy Maxson, daughter Nancy Maxson. I would love to have any photos. Orlando Warren owned a large Cheese Factory in Cuba, and the Ennis's had a store (I believe in Genesee).

I checked the 1920 Census and found that Raymond and his wife Bonnie (HICOX) STOUT had a 3+ year-old son named Maxwell R. Cynthia DRAKE was actually Raymond's mother and she was married to Charles W. STOUT, who was a grandson of my gg-grandaunt Ure Sarah HART and her husband Charles G. STOUT. This would make Maxwell Raymond Stout my 4th cousin. He's also my 6th cousin because his gg-grandparents Ure and Charles were 2nd cousins. Bill Hart
