Jared's sister Huldah was Joel Crandall's wife. Joel & Huldah helped raise Jared's children after Harriett's death at a fairly young age. I have a CD of the letters-they're really great, aren't they?     3. Hello Cousin!!!! I'd love to share what I have and learn what you have gathered. I did my thesis on early Allegany Co. settlement, and Benjamin is the patriarch of the Maxson group that first came here in 1827!!! My g-g-grandmother left stories of coming on the Erie Canal, wolves, cougars and bears (oh, my!), and log cabins and strangers coming to the house and all kinds of wonderful stories. All I have is Zenus Bailey born: Jan 26, 1809 Tompkins Co NY & Died: Nov. 12, 1896 and he was son of John Bailey 1st. of Revolutionary War Period. I have the wife & children and (with spouses) of Zenas and where they are bureid so if this is what you are looking for, contact me and I will be more than happy to share what I ahave.
