Lattin Ferrin (my ggrandmother)according to a copy of her will, birth certificates of her children and other papers was born 1848 in Wisconsin. She died 1903 in Almond,Allegany County her death record was only an entry in a ledger stating parents unknown, place of birth unknown, etc, the death notice in the paper shed no light as to who she was or who her parents were.We checked the probate on both Harland her husband and Helen but nothing more was learned. Its strange she never appeared anywhere or in any census until after she had married..Again Thank You..Robert Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I only wish I knew for sure, it is supposedly my gggrandmother's first husband and I have absolutely no information on him.??I am assuming though that she married him, he went to war and died and after the war she married my ggggrandfather.? Her name was Henrietta Koons they called her Etta and she supposedly married a Wright and then she married after the war, one Obed Patterson.? She remained married to him until they both died in 1930.? They lived in Swain, NY and had several children, the first being Ellen.? I'm not on my computer at present, problems and in the shop so I can't give you more details at present.? Does any of this sound familiar to you?? Yes, some of this rings a bell. A cousin of my mother's completed an Application to the DAR in which she indicated that a George A. Wixon born November 21, 1809 location unknown and died in 1873 location unknown. George was married to Emily Taylor who was born March 1811 location unknown and death unknown. They were married July 1830 location unknown. These were the parents of my Jonathan Taylor Wix(s)on. Jonathan was born June 1842. Jonathan was my gg grandfather. It might be a connection since the application mentions that George was the son of Reuben Wixon of Dutchess County, NY. Do you have additonal information on this family you would be willing to share?
