Florence, I'm not sure I have Artamesia Wright's parents -- at least it's not in my PAF file. She was born 13 Sep 1793 and died 3 Apr 1831, m. George Sherman of Norway, NY, who was b. 15 Oct 1793 and died 9 May 1869. He moved to Alfred, NY in 1836, and their daughter Chloe was my great-great grandmother. Hi, You're welcome, but I didn't do much. The Genesee churches (there were three) listings are in Don and Ilou Sanford's book on Western NY SDB churches. Hi Florence, You may have written to Laurie McFadden. She is President of Bakers Bridge and is an archivist at the Alfred University library. I see her fairly often. Let me know if I can help. That goes for the list, too. My undergrad thesis was on early Allegany County settlement, and I have lots of material from my ancestors, who have been in the county since 1827. I'm doing another presentation on SDB history at the Univ. in April, and may make that available to the list.
