    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: clifflamere Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.albany/7595.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Katie, Kenwood is the southernmost part of the city of Albany, just north of the Normans Kill. On the other side of the kill (creek) is Glenmont, which is in the Town of Bethlehem. Since the death occurred in the city of Albany in 1903, there is only one place you can get the certificate. That is from the city of Albany. The New York State Dept. of Health vital records will not have it because Albany was not required to send birth and death certificates to the state until 1914. See my online "Guide to Albany Area Genealogical Resources" for information on how to contact the city's vital records section. It also mentions when marriage certificates were first sent to the state. Cliff Lamere Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
