    3. Luckily, my Gateway came with a trial of the new Microsoft programs. Also, I have an EPSON printer/scanner and needed to go to their website and download the correct VISTA compatible drivers for the printer/scanner, but they were easy to find and once downloaded, it all worked fine. I was nervous too about giving up Windows XP but it was hard to find a computer with it anymore, so I took the plunge to VISTA. So far, so good...unless you send a Word or Excel to someone with an older version, and they can't convert. I can convert from an older one to up to mine.
