Scroll down and check them out. Don't try just entering a name in the center of the site. That will take you to ancestry.com. Lots of FREE data including church and shps records etc. > Also see the URL below for transcribed records etc. for the Albany area. New York not easy to search because there weren't many regulations on BMD's until 1880's. Of course lamnd and deed records as well as Wills are available through local County Clerks. Centralized records really not there for the most part.
