The certificate number is 48599 if you decide to request it. I could find no mention of his death in the Times Record (Troy). The Albany paper (Times Union) had a death notice published 8/24/1944 that read: Ketter, Nicholas, husband of the late Catherine Dalton Ketter, father of Mrs. William G. Kundel. Foll Funeral Home, 434 S. Pearl St. on Saturday. I was unable to locate an obituary. The Times Union also printed a death notice for William G. Kundel on 10/15/1971 that read: William G. Kundel died 10/13/1971, son of the late Bertha Witt and Paul F. Kundel, brother of Mrs. Albin (Marie) Anderson of Troy and Miss Bertha L. Kundel of 14 S. Dove St., Albany. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday-Dascher Funeral Home. I couldn't find an obituary for William either, but the 10/16/1971 newspaper was missing from the microfilm.
