I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Lydia HARE which was taken at the Rabineau Studio in Albany, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Lydia appearing to be in her 40's or 50's at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has written "Aunt" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following in census records: 1870 census of Bethlehem, NY: (living in the home of H. H. & Jane MCCORMICK) Charles HARE, age 36, a Domestic Servant, born Germany Lydia HARE, age 35, a Domestic Servant, born NY 1880 census of Bethlehem, NY: Charles HARE, age 46, born NY, a Farmer, parents born NY Lydia HARE, wife, age 45, born NY, Keeping House, parents born NY 1900 census of Bethlehem, NY: Chas HARE, age 66, born Nov 1833, married 34 years, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1846, a Farmer Lydia Ann HARE, wife, age 65, born Apr 1835, married 34 years, no children, born NY, parents born NY I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of the family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
