If anyone is going to the New York State Library, would you please find out the names on the marriage certificate #15632, Aug.26, 1896 for Waverly, Tioga County? I am hoping it is the marriage certificate of my grandparents, Edward D. Hogan, and Blanche Polvent. Edward lived in Waterford and worked in Troy. Blanche lived in Cohoes and did collar work for a Troy company. I have looked for many years in all the usual places for their marriage record, to no avail. In cleaning out my records, I found a note written on a pink notice with New York State Library letterhead. This note contained my grandparents' names in my handwriting, and the above information in a different handwriting. I know I visited Albany on a research trip many years ago and was helped by a volunteer genealogist in the Library. Perhaps she is the one who got this information for me. It is so long ago that I cannot remember more. However I cannot fathom why I didn't follow this up.-except perhaps at the time I just ruled this out as a possibility because it was out of the immediate vicinity of where I knew the couple lived. I'm older and wiser now and know they could have easily gone to another county for their wedding for a variety of reasons. Thank you in advance for your trouble. Pat Beaumont
