Levi Moore was my great-great grandfather. His son, John Ferguson was my great grandfather. Levi died on 30 Jun 1880 in Utica State Hospital(Insane Asylum)and I can give you those details if you would like. His parents were Joseph Moore and Harriet Williams of Conn. Joseph's parent were James Moore and Sibbel Hoag and they lived in Quaker st., N.Y. James's parents were Levi and Ruth Moore and I don't have very much information on them except that they came from Little Egg Harbor, NJ. You may already have much of this information but if you don't I can supplied dates and places and my list of sources. Hi Wendy, I have a Levi Moore in my file who was born in Boston on 28 Jul 1744. He married a Ruth about 1770. Levi Moore is my 4th great grandfather. His son James married Sibyl Hoag on 2 Mar 1796 in Nine Partners, Dutchess County, NY. Sybl & James are me 3 great grand parents. Do you have Ruth's surname? When and where were Joseph Moore and Harriet Williams born? Ruth Moore married David Griffeth about 1825 and had 10 children. She died in Quaker Street, Schenectady County, NY on 15 Jul 1864.
