And yes, I'm aware that there are many John McMillans in the Capital District area and at least two between 1720 and 1724. I suspect that somewhere there is someone who has answers to my dilemma. I'm also wondering if there is a way to get an up-to-date e-mail address for some one who has posted on a yahoo site. I'm looking for Bruce E. Ackerman who had a posting in October 2007. Two attempts with the e-mail listed were returned saying that there was no account for that address. Any help would be appreciated. Midlothian, Scotland 1794 and John McMillan b. Midlothian Scotland abt.1700. Both died on the same date - 28 Aug 1806 (unusual, huh?) - one in New Scotland, NY and the other in Spartanburg, SC. I suspect that there might be two John McMillans but can't find any verification. Bruce Ackerman wrote about descrepencies in information John and his family but I'm unable to find a current address for Bruce. I'd appreciate any help you might have.
