I find the New York Gravestones project at http://www.newyorkgravestones.org/ to be very useful, and I thank W. David Samuelsen for hosting the site. I have entered the all the stone information from the site for cemeteries in the Towns of Berne and Knox in the Berne Families Genealogy as well as most of the stones in the other Hilltowns, nearby Schoharie and Towns adjoining Berne that are below the hill. I also have entered genealogy information using transcriptions from the Dutch Settlers Society and other all other cemetery sources. I have transcriptions of many Westerlo Cemeteries that were compiled by former Westerlo Town Historian Thurston Bishop in 1990 and earlier. About half of the information has been entered into the Berne Families Genealogy and I will continue as time permits. If someone would like a lookup of a Westerlo ancestor, let me know. I will printout an ancestor report for individual in the Berne Families Genealogy posted on the Berne Historical Project web site at www.Bernehistory.org and email it to anyone who requests it.
