We don't allow junk mail to be posted, in fact we work very hard to keep it off the lists but some are sneaky and join a list, post the garbage and then get off. One way to do so, is to post to the various message boards and if they are connected to lists, the messages then got automatically to the lists. Something else. A number of lists have gotten messages to join different online programs. This happens because a subscriber signs up for a program, like Face Book, and the program send a 'join me' to everyone in the subber's address book. So, remember if you sign up for such a program, to control where those messages go. > You might think about warning people that if if you are allowing junk > through and they mark something as spam, then they get automatically un-subscribed > from the site. Then, its a pain trying to re-subscribe. > -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
