    1. [NYALBANY] Waterman Brick Wall Continues
    2. I am hoping the list can help me with my brick wall. John Waterman (died December 16,1825) was married to Elizabeth Torrey (died July 3,1827) Both are buried in Worcester, Otsego County,NY. One of their sons was William Torrey Waterman who married Rachel Lovejoy in 1803 at the First Presbyterian Church in West Troy, NY.? I can next find William in the 1810?census in Watervliet. (Same area...change of city name?)According to Donald Jacobus' book, History of the Waterman Family,?William Torrey Waterman had two sons, William and Henry. William Torrey Waterman died during the War of 1812 in an English prison (after serving aboard a privateer) and according to the book, the sons went to live with William Torrey Waterman's brother John Waterman in Otsego County NY. The sons later went"to NYC". I would like to prove or disprove a link between William Torrey Waterman and Henry.? There is no mention of mother Rachel other than the marraige I was able to find. I am willing to take a t! rip in the fall to the AHOR but I'm unsure of the data that might be available.? Here's what I would be looking for.... 1. Any additional church records showing a baptism of Henry 2. Wills, although he may have died intestate 3. Court records showing adoption or guardian?care of children to brother John in Otsego. 4.?Would newspapers of the 1803 to 1814 period carry birth announcements Are there any Albany volunteers that would be able to help with pointing me in the right direction. Best regards, Steve Waterman Virginia
