Good evening all, We have begun a search of the Maron side of my husband's family. We wondered if someone out there would have any information or a census or something to get us going. Joseph Maron came in 1864-5 at about age 2 from Prussia possibly with his family and settled in New York...possibly Brooklyn. We have a copy of his wedding picture. Joseph and his wife had a 2. son Joseph Maron who was a policeman at the 69th Precinct. He had brothers including William and John. They had something to do with Maron Shipping in New York. This Joseph married Cecilia Ferguson who may have come from upstate New York possibly near Kingston . This Cecilia had a sister who was a nun. We don't know what order. 3. Joseph Maron and Cecilia Ferguson had a son Joseph John Maron born in Brooklyn and who married Carol McLean of Haworth, New Jersey.
