My John Raymond Dunbar was born on the same day, 24 Aug 1895, in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Margaret Allen Dunbar and Alexander Dunbar. He was the youngest boy of 8 children who survived. I know that he served in WWI, and was stationed at Ft. Slocum, NY (not sure where that is), and he also registered for the 1942 draft, when he was living in Wilkes-Barre. Not sure if he married. I saw the SS death, and since the birth date was right, I assumed that was my John. Can you tell me how you found his obit on Ancestry? I am a member, but I am not getting the results you did.
