What a great picture - it really puts matters into perspective. I'm bothered by the lack of the hill, though. State Street and the present capitol building would be outside the walls, to the right, I guess? So the fort was all between what's now Madison and State, or even less? Still, when someone says a church was in the Pastures neighborhood, it seems too vague. Everything outside must have been pastures. Interesting ... Jane
