I require information on the following family - any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I think I have two similarly named families (surprise) and wonder if this family may have immigrated to New York. I have an address 272 Orange Street, Albany, NY (don't know where I got it - maybe off a census) but wonder if the Albany in the address is meant to be the County and also wonder if it is the home of a similarly named family group. 272 Orange Street is located in City of Albany, Albany County, New York. Quick check of the 1880 census at www.familysearch.org shows two men named John Tierney, both born Ireland, both age 37, both estimated birth year 1843, living in Albany County at the census. One in Albany City can be found on LDS microfilm 1254806 National Archives film T9-0806; one in West Troy Village can be found on LDS microfilm 1254808, National Archives film T9-0808. Good luck.
