I am lookng for information on the SILAS JONES SR family and all his children. Maybe even his siblings. They came from Rhode Island and settled in Albany shortly after 1760s as near as we can learn. Silas had many many children. I have their names. At least all those I can locate. He also had a Silas JONES JR. I am looking for the parentage of NOEL JONES b 1785 near Albany whom mar a Susannah Where when ?? I suspect 1807 or so Renselaer Co of today.??? But can not locate records Their child NOYES JONES was born in Petersburg, NY according to court records in Petersburg 1809. I find them in the 1810 census only ever and never no more. I find NOYES JONES in 1840's and 1850 and 1855 census. He leaves NY and moves to ILL then IOWA where he dies in late 1800's. Where would I look for marriage records of Noel to Susannah ? 1805 to his birth maybe earlier. Where would I locate church records of NOEL b about 1785's birth. His lineage is Baptist. I believe his Grandfather was SILAS JONES SR. I do know YDNA matches Silas lineage and letter in late mid 1800s said he was grandson of. I have scoured Rensselaer Co intensely and realized that 1785 was still Albany Co. So moving my research next door. I have found remains of this family JONES in Saratoga and Washington Co later but nothing on these people I am looking for.
