Back in the early 1970's, when I was first married, my wife and I lived at 866 Madison Ave in Albany. Across the street was the Magin and Keegan Funeral Home. Its still there. The church up the street is St. Vincent's (RG). There was a Jewish Funeral Home at 864 Madison (Schwartz). I know well the Dreis funeral home at 89 Second Ave as my parents owned 79 Second Ave. As someone pointed out, the building is now Sturges Funeral Home. Dreis is still in business, having merged with McVeigh on Allen St. I can't recall an Owens Funeral Home, but there where many of them in Albany that are now out of business.
