    2. Cliff Lamere
    3. Leslie and others, When an email arrives from the county message board, the sender will be listed as: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com The first line of that message will say: " This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list." The line following the message will say: "Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If you would like to reply to them, please click on the Message Board URL link above and respond on the board." The complete email is below for anyone who wants to see it. It contains a link. By clicking on the link, you are taken to that message on the message board. The message is in a window (box). At the bottom of the box is the word Reply. Click on it. Since you haven't registered yet, you will be asked to do that. Since I registered, and they can recognize my computer (each computer has its own identification number), I don't get that registration request any longer. Neither will you after the first time. Since I don't get the registration window, I can't give advice on registering. I recall that it was not difficult to understand. Cliff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Encanto59 Surnames: Marcellus-Marselis-Misselles Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.albany/7697/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have not been able to find the following book on internet for full viewing/reading: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GENEALOGIES OF THE FIRST SETTLERS OF THE ANCIENT COUNTY OF ALBANY, FROM 1630 TO 1800 by PROFESSOR JONATHAN PEARSON. On the Albany GenWeb site, I found only the preface which I did print out for my use but now I would like to see if the surname Marcellus/Marselis (also spelled 30 other ways) is to be found in this book and what does it say? I have been trying to solve my Marcellus/Marselis/Misselles line for years and decided to copy all information on this surname to be found where ever it can be found and see if there is information to work with. Of course I have found much duplication of information that was copied word for word from another source, but at least I know who my Ahasueras Marcellus was not. But I still have to find out who he was. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
