The villages of West Troy, Port Schuyler and Watervliet came together around the turn of the century to form the present-day City of Watervliet. The Albany Rural Cemetery is located in Menands. just south of Watervliet. They have very good records and are most helpful. The Rural Cemetery abuts the Catholic St. Agnes Cemetery.
