With regard to the person looking for an obit look up in Albany, and anyone researching ancestors in the Capitol region. The Albany Times union website has an archive search going back to 1986. That's over twenty years of obits and more. Select Archives from the main page, and when you come to the search page, make sure you select " ALL YEARS" from the drop down menu, (set at 2008 by default). You can also narrow your selection based on whatever dates you have. As of now they are not charging for the stories. They did charge in the past to view a story, but for now they are not. Good luck with searches. I have found some ancestors obits and added several names to my family tree, so take advantage of it.
