    3. Bill, It was stated that, "Ancestry.com has ... the NY state census for 1880, 1892 and 1905. It has the Albany City census of 1915." You would normally think that if they had a state census they would have most or all of it. Not true in this case. 1880 NY census - 1 county only, not including Albany Co. 1892 NY census - 10 counties only, not including Albany Co. 1905 NY census - 5 counties only, not including Albany Co. 1915 Albany city - an index of the names of the first 8 wards only, plus the page, line, etc. that will help you find the data in the original census registers (or microfilm). They don't have census images, nor do they present information like age, occupation, etc. New York has over 60 counties. There was no state census in 1880, so I don't know what happened in that one county.
