Hi Willard, I have many Brownell relatives. The mother of a cousin of mine was a Brownell. They were from Hamilton County, NY. I have many other Brownell ancestors. Many of whom lived in Rhode Island. I also have a number of Oosterhout ancestors. I do not have Richard in my file, but I probably have his ancestors. Can you take him back to 1800? Richard

Hal, Thank you so very much for the link to this wonderful website. I can't begin to tell you how useful it has been in finding not only information concerning dates for life events, but also insights into the social lives of my families! Needless to say, I have printed out many a page on the printer of wonderful, sweet information that I would have never found in ANY genealogy book. Thank you and the powers that be for passing this along to us. I also noticed that you said that the Westerlo Rural Cemetery is done? Is that what you meant by saying "recent additions include families buried in the Westerlo Rural Cemetery"?? We were in that cemetery in 2003 (I think that was the year) and I did take the inscriptions of a few folks whose surnames are among my family--namely the Filkins (of course) and many Boomhowers. Let me know if you would like them. I don't think we took any photos there partially because there was a huge storm moving in and it looked (and the thunder was confirming it!) like the end of the world. A huge deer come running through the cemetery, down the hill to the road...stopped...looked both ways like a school kid....(really!) darted across the road and continued into the woods. Awesome sight to this NY-born girl who is now a desert rat! Hope you and Hal had a lovely time in MA and that your wedding was a perfect as it could be in every way. Congratulations to both of you! In my records, I have a few Brownells that I have not yet been able to connect together, but I'm sure are all related. One of them is Richard Brownell, who married Blanche Long. Is this the same Richard Brownell you mentioned? If so, would you mind sharing the names of Richard and Blanche's children? The other Brownell's I have come across are Harvey Brownell, who married Mary Alice Long. They had a daughter, Harriet Brownell. I also have a John Brownell who married Bertha Wright, and Willard Brownell who married Hazel Long. Do you know anything about any of these? I think that Willard and Richard were probably brothers but have no proof. John is about the right age to have been their father, but so is Harvey. I would like to nail down the connections between all these Brownells. If you can help me do it, I would really appreciate it.
