This is extremely helpful as I have been researching my parents/family for years and am at a deadend. Patterson/Patterson - and the Talmadges. If anyone finds any of them, please let me know. They were both born in Albany - Thomas F and Margaret (Marguerite) M - Thomas was son of John and Mary Gleason Patterson - Margaret was daughter of Joseph and Mary Murray Patterson - Margaret had a sister Anna who married John Talmadge and Thomas was one of 10 I believe, of which there was a set of twins. Thanks for any info and for the leads to St. Agnes Cemetery and also Immaculate Conception. Chris, I wanted to thank you for the response. It is greatly appreciated and very helpful. My relatives settled in the Albany area shortly after coming to the US from Italy most of them between 1900-1910. Once again thank you for your help Have a great day Kelly Portland, Maine In a message dated 11/16/2008 4:33:44 AM Eastern Standard Time, connell@nycap.rr.com writes: Kelly The only one that appears to still have a house is 16 Trinity Place, Albany NY. These street addresses are all in the south/downtown bordering the "Pastures" and "Mansion" neighborhoods in the city of Albany (zip code 12207) within a few blocks of each other and not far from the Hudson River; much of this neighborhood was the victim of urban renewal of the last 20-40 years. The houses that remain in the neighborhood are mostly 19th century brick (The Historic Albany Foundation http://www.historic-albany.org/ periodically offers walking tours of this and other old neighborhoods in the city). Using google's "street view" (http://maps.google.com) you can actually "virtually walk around the neighborhood" and see some of these addresses. Both the Van Zandt Street and Wilbur Street addresses appear to be a vacant lots now. Google maps is confusing trying to locate the Madison Ave locations, because it tries to find a location on another street also called Madison Ave on the West end of the city in the 12205 zip, but I'm pretty sure these are located where is now the Madison/South Pearl parking lot for NY state employees. Hope this helps Chris > Hello, > > I have recently found several census records that listed the following > street addresses.
