My grandmother is a Campbell and is the daughter of Cornelius Vrooman Campbell. HIs father was William Campbell (m. Margaret Ostrander). Apparently, the Campbell family had relatives that lived on Consaul Road. Supposedly there is a family plot/cemetery on private property. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this in their travels. The above mentioned William and Margaret Campbell are buried in a cemetery right across from the Lishakill Lutheran Cemetery. I look forward to any and all responses related to this. I got some information from "LDS Int'l Genealogical Index v 4.02 Call No. 0882993 excerpt from Trinity Church Parish records" linking Isaac Hooghkirk (b 1801) to Catharine D. Marsh (b 1808) in marriage. I actually received it from a man online. I'd love to find out more about this particular Isaac. Since there are so many Isaac Hooghkirks it's been virtually impossible to find this particular Isaac anywhere! I don't know his death date, but I'm thinking he probably died young after having 3 children with his wife. I'd love any info you have on recent generations. It's always fun to fill in more forks in the family tree! I use Family Tree Maker version 16, if that makes a difference. Thanks, Nicole Smith Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Bill, It was stated that, "Ancestry.com has ... the NY state census for 1880, 1892 and 1905. It has the Albany City census of 1915." You would normally think that if they had a state census they would have most or all of it. Not true in this case. 1880 NY census - 1 county only, not including Albany Co. 1892 NY census - 10 counties only, not including Albany Co. 1905 NY census - 5 counties only, not including Albany Co. 1915 Albany city - an index of the names of the first 8 wards only, plus the page, line, etc. that will help you find the data in the original census registers (or microfilm). They don't have census images, nor do they present information like age, occupation, etc. New York has over 60 counties. There was no state census in 1880, so I don't know what happened in that one county. St Paul's Church maintained the Eagle Hill Cemetery and good records exist of the headstones: http://www.geocities.com/terrbarr77/StPaulsL.htm. Also Ebenezer Lutheran Church: cemetery listings at http://www.bettyfink.com/EbLuthCem.htm. St John's has a CD of Church Records that I heard about through another searcher. I suggest you call the church and ask about the CD -- it is written in German and in old German writing, but is fairly legible. St John's cemetery is St John's Lutheran Cemetery,on Sand Creek Rd in Colonie. Best of luck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. Re: [NYALBANY] Jewish Cemetary records Western Ave Guilderland?
    2. Those Jewish cemeteries out on Western Ave are a real problem. Actually there are 7 or 8 of them, some are in Albany and some in Guilderland. They abut each other, but are in the charge of different associations. Surprised Levine couldn't help, he has records for some of them. Might try looking at the death certificate to see if it tells which Cemetery the burial is in. Might try the NYS Cemetery Bureau for names and contact numbers of the various cemeteries.
