    2. Bill Brizzell
    3. My Catholic ancestors in that area (Sleasman, Wertman) attended Our Lady of Angels in Albany. And even if they didn't go to church there, the Our Lady of Angels cemetery on Central Ave in Colonie is a good place to look for Sand Creek Road area Catholics. My grandfather's cousin Roy Emerick ( b. abt 1911) and his family farmed on Albany-Shaker Road. The horse-powered ride to church on Sunday took an hour. Roy, his siblings and mother attended Our Lady of Angels, while his Lutheran father attended St. Johns - directly across Central Ave - at the same time. Author: DMC343 Surnames: Snyder, Johnson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.albany/7680.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Your search result refers to a CD named "Worden's Index to The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record 1870 -1998". Volume 128 of the NY G&B Record was 1997, but since it was published 4 times a year, you'll have to figure out which issue your article was in. Here's some options for getting the article: 1. Access Heritage Quest Online (your library may allow you to access it from home) and search PERSI (an index of periodicals) for "New York Genealogical and Biographical Record". You will get a list of libraries that have it and what issues. Also check worldcat.org for other possible libraries. There just might be one near you that has it in print or CD format.; 2. If no library is nearby, ask your local library if they can get a copy of the article through interlibrary loan. Or the Allen County Public Library, the creator of PERSI, has copies of all the periodicals in its index. You can order a copy from them. For $7.50 plus $ .20 a page, you can order up to 6 articles. You can find a link for the order form at http://www.acpl.lib.in.us/genealogy/index.html; 3.If all that fails, the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society has a website at http://www.newyorkfamilyhistory.org/index.php. There you can buy CD's for $42 containing multiple issues. Good luck on your search. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [NYALBANY] Fwd: Grote / Sweeney farm burying ground
    2. Harold Miller
    3. There was an error in my earlier message asking for location of the Grote / Sweeney farm burying ground. It was lots 806 and 807 John Groat leased not 506 and 507. Lot 806 was half in Knox. Lot 807 looks like in was west of the the center of the village of Altamont. Dr. D. Wheeler Sweeney owned the house in the 1940's, Harold Miller

    2. Sorry, Carol. Sorry, Everyone Just a mood I get in sometimes, especially when I see things like I would like to know about my great great whoever. No details, no frame of reference, not even a name of the ancestor. Have to keep telling myself I was probably guilty of this myself "way back when".
