Jacob Teall was born on November 16, 1768 by my records. I have not dug deeply into this branch yet so did not readily have wife's name available on file. He is the son of Jacob Teall and Joanna Mix. I show that he had one brother, Joseph, and one sister, Lucy. Both older than Jacob. I would really appreciate getting further information from you on this branch. Regards, D. 3. The lady who asked for this lookup did not receive it because she asked on the message board, and the answers were on the mailing list. I just went to the message board to check. Our messages were not there. When you respond to a gateway message, a copy goes to the mailing list and another supposedly to the message board. The message board never posts the one it receives (or else it rejects them all). The gateway system doesn't make sense to me. The lady did get her answer, but not a very good one. She was given a link to a site that has the book in digital form. However, converting images of book pages to regular text can create a lot of errors, especially on that site. Names are often misspelled and dates can be wrong. 3. The first generations in the books tends to be quite accurate. It is later that he sometimes confuses sons with the same first names with who they married. There are a lot of Marselis people out there doing good research though. I descend through the line as well.

    3. John, You make a good point. As I was proof reading the quote on Ahasuerus Marselis, which I had just typed, I noticed that there seemed to be a discrepancy. Pearson stated the Marselis "had a lot in 1716, without the South Gate", yet "he removed to Schenectady in 1710". I had to double check that to make sure that I had transcribed it as Pearson had written it originally. Thanks, Leslie

    3. THANKS, I went to LDS library here in San Diego to see what they had. Amazing I was not finding much maybe not looking in right place. I was also dumbfounded that the USGENWEB site for Albany CO. NY had almost nothing on it. Not much for a usgenweb site. But I gather they in the middle of changes. I was sure hoping for some clues somewhere. Amazing with Albany being a key county for the states development. Thanks very much. 3. Hi All -- I'm not yet a member of the Capital District Genealogical Society but would like to attend your next meeting. I live in a motorhome fulltime and will be spending some time in the Albany area later this summer. I'm originally from Cobleskill. Many of my family tree are from the New Scotland Area. I'm interested in learning about the MacMillens from that area and particularly learn about those still in the area. Are there McMillen or MacMillen members in your group? At least, hopefully, there will be members who know of those in the area. I'm fairly new in this genealogy business -- I've got a lot to learn! Looking forward to meeting you all soon.
