Ida Preservation Hall and more!! The TIGS meeting this month will consist of a tour of Old Mt. Ida Cemetery, he Mt. Ida Preservation Hall and the former Farnham Institute. Thursday ctober 18th 5:45 PM e will meet at 5:45 at the Old Mt. Ida Cemetery, you can pull right into he cemetery and park along the roadways. Weather permitting, we will take tour of the cemetery. We will then walk from the cemetery to the Mt. Ida reservation Hall (Church of the Ascension). There we will have a talk on he building and the stain glassed windows. The owner of the former Farnham nstitute (formerly a school connected to the Church of the Ascension) has nvited us into the building which is located directly across the street rom the Hall. The building has been converted into a private residence. he first floor retains its original floor plan and is used as an art space. he walk from the cemetery to the Hall is a short distance but there is ajor construction all along the way. with little if any sidewalk. There is o closer parking available because of the construction. rant Caird and/or Ned Pratt will be hosting us. We should meet promptly at :45 as it gets dark early, hopefully it will not be raining.
