I have added the naturalization indexes for years 1845, 1846 and 1847 to the Albany County section of my website. You will find a link for Albany County by going to my website (url under my name) and gliding your mouse over the top bars (at top of home page), when you are over New York State, a menu drops down. When it does, click on Albany County. The indexes that I have transcribed contain only the Irish born where the original records states the place (mostly counties) in Ireland where the applicant was born. If the record just said Ireland or I couldn't read the record then it is not included in the index. Some clerks just didn't put in the county. Other clerks wrote so poorly that I could figure out what they wrote. Also, if the applicant come over as a minor and lived in the country for 5 yrs, the form did not give where in Ireland they were born (most of the times) or even their age at the time. I should finish this film this week (goes to May 1850) and will start the 2nd film that I have waiting (goes from 1850-1854). I also intend to order the next in the series this week and intend to transcribe till the late 1860s when my McEntees moved to Troy. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
