    3. Ann, I assure you this is not a complaint or criticism, but an honest request for information. I have not ever seen a cautionary note like the one at the end of your msg. Is it in response to a new threat. 3. Ed - Ann sent the message to the list from her business email account. I believe the cautionary note is explained here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_your_ass Oh, darn, now I've copied and redistributed it !! ;-) On 4/16/2012 8:45 AM, edward broecker wrote: > Ann, > > I assure you this is not a complaint or criticism, but an honest request for > information. 3. With my apologies to the list and the adminiatrator, I will give you all the response I sent to Tim: "Thank you. I apologize, I meant to reply only to Ann but did not. I was stunned by the caution, since it falls into the "Confidential, destroy before reading" category of language foolishness. Why would any company add a note to a msg sent to a group and caution, basically, that it is not to be used in any way." Christine, thank you. I spent decades in several CYA and Politically Correct environments and they were fully corrosive. I will cease and desist at this point, I am in flame territory. My thanks to the list. 3. Apologies. My email is set up to put this message there because we are in the Securities Business! It goes there Automatically, even on my personal messages. It is not a threat or meant for my genealogical friends. I will have to explore how NOT to include it, but till then, don't worry about anything! This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific recipient and purpose. If you are not the intended recipient, you should delete this message.
