The Troy city directories for 1874 to 1879 show John’s occupation as “Policeman.” He doesn’t show up in the history of the Troy Police Department. I am wondering where else he might have been on the rolls. I have asked this question before with no results but stuff does pop up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. James L. Owens
