    3. I have photos of the house from I believe to be around 1955 including the old barn being taken down. Stories from my childhood ....my Grandmother owned the Grove. Now what can be done to identify (possibly with historical markers) the area. I have some thoughts but prefer to speak at TIGS meeting this month. My mind goes like a choo, choo train thinking about this cemetery. Onto the next part. Thank you again for sharing this information with us. Fencing should also be installed along the southern site limits once archeological monitoring is complete to further protect the site. When project plans are finalized, Hartgen recommends preparing a written avoidance plan, monitoring plan, and unanticipated discoveries plan in consultation with OPRHP.” There *might* be some kind of plans to mark it: > > "A cemetery was also found on the property, which will be marked as part of the project.” > Sanzone, Danielle. I don’t know. One place to try asking: “The next public discussion regarding the proposed dorm will take place during the City of Troy Planning Board Meeting scheculed [sic] for 6 p.m. on Sept. 11 at City Hall.” > > I can see if maybe Hartgen’s report can be posted online. Also, not that this has anything to do with the dorms, but one wishes something could be done to save the Vandenbergh house/Country Grove restaurant across from HVCC which is looking pretty forlorn. > > Chris > ===NY-IRISH-GENSOC Mailing List=== > Time for Society Members to pay up their **2014 Dues**.
