I found some information about the man who seems to have been the last person buried in the Lansingburgh Village Burying Ground and added it to the page on findagrave.com. He was a recent immigrant from Scotland who lived in Albany. He died at his uncle’s house at 231 Fourth Avenue, Lansingburgh, two and a half blocks from the cemetery, which might partly explain why he was buried there. The cemetery had otherwise been closed to new burials in 1900 and in 1901 the City of Troy had reportedly decided on turning the cemetery into building lots as part of its “Greater Troy” ambitions, the latter plans fortunately somehow thwarted.
