We placed thirteen today - there’s forty-nine total. They’ll be bringing over about thirteen more tomorrow morning. There were two people from the Lansingburgh Historical Society, three people brought by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office (plus two employees of the office who stayed in their vehicle), one person from the Sons of Union Veterans, Alysia, and me. It was a little rough in that the soil there is very stony, so digging involved hitting a lot of rocks. There’s big new signs for both the Lansingburgh Village Burying Ground and the Old Catholic Cemetery that were placed on the fences for those cemeteries on 3rd Ave several weeks ago. Chris
You and the others that are volunteering for this project are to be commended for not letting those individuals vanish from sight, but instead to be remembered and honored. Thank you, it seems like you deserve more than that, but Thank you.Sally Finley Harloff On Wednesday, October 8, 2014 1:59 PM, Christopher Philippo via <ny-troy-irish-gensoc@rootsweb.com> wrote: We placed thirteen today - there’s forty-nine total.
