Revolutionary War veterans’ markers placed in Lansingburgh Village Burying Ground today include: * Abial Bugbee * William Chase * Samuel Cogswell * John Eastwood * Elisha Eldridge * Cyprian Howe * Jonas Morgan * Aaron Noble * Stephen Pelton * Christopher Tillman * Thomas Turner * John Weaver There was one other I’ll have to note tomorrow. At least two of the above have their original headstones still standing elsewhere in the cemetery. William Chase’s is broken, and Jonas Morgan’s is filthy. The DAR around 1915 and Frances Broderick around 1965 had located stones for some of the other men listed, but not all of them. I don’t know where LHS obtained their information about the others; we’ll have to find out sometime.
