Hi Everyone: You may or may not have noticed, but Ancestry.com has "Officially" taken over administration of the RootsWeb-based website, of which the TIGS website is one. Our URL has changed from http://www.rootsweb.com/~nytigs/ to http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nytigs/. Either address will work for the short term. Unfortunately, I am not able to update any pages or transfer any files until they have finished the transfer. So the TIGS meeting page will not be updated to reflect the new meeting place this month which will be the Irish Mist at 285 Second Street in Troy on Thursday September 18th. This was the announcement from Ancestry.com: WWW web sites: 2008-09-15 Due to the move of various RootsWeb functions to new servers, the processing of geographically and society oriented web space requests is being delayed. This is also affecting the ability to change files on some of these accounts. The ability to view these web sites is not affected.
