    3. I recently joined ancestry.com, could someone please advise in what section I can find the Emigrant Savings Bank data? I am just learning to navigate the site. Carol VerCammen -----Original Message----- From: ny-troy-irish-gensoc-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ny-troy-irish-gensoc-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Michael McAlonie Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 10:58 AM To: ny-troy-irish-gensoc@rootsweb.com Subject: [NY-TROY-IRISH-GENSOC] New York Emigrant Savings Bank It is also on ancestry.com- I looked at it and you are right, it gives quite a bit of data for one sentence. I didn't find any direct relatives but it did have a Sheehy from Kerry who had a brother John living in Troy- and gave parents names and a townland from Ireland. Thank you for sharing that. -Michael I found a record verifying the date of birth (which I already had) for my great grandfather's older brother, naming his parents (also had that info), plus the fact that their father was deceased at the time of my great grandfather's marriage ( not previously known), along with his date of immigration, county of birth, address and occupation. All that on one line !! A genealogical gold mine. ===NY-IRISH-GENSOC Mailing List=== Did you pay your 2008 Dues? 3. Carol, on your Home Page, upper right box called 'My Quick Links', click on the first link 'Ancestry Card Catalog'. In the 'Database Title' box, type New York Emigrant Savings Bank. This will bring up the link. There might be a simpler way, but this is how I found it. Good luck.
