All day long a constant stream of visitors and sightseers climbing the mountain and the road, which is narrow in places,making it well nigh impassible. The spot was so well trodden that investigators will not find any more evidence there. They have spent the weekend rifling thru garbage of Drew’s former employer’s home, Prof E.R.Cary.Refuse that had been thrown away and was ready to burn has turned up correspondence of a few more of Hazel’s friends. She was last seen alive picking raspberries near Taborton Road.Special Officer John F. Murnane attached to the District Attorney’s office found a classified ad in the July 6th Record:Wanted – Girl for general housework to go to Sandlake for summer; references required Box 21.Record.” This may account for Hazel taking a trip to Averill Park.
