    3. You are right it is mainly "index only" and they seem to be through 1883. I am looking more for the 1890's. I wonder if they will add further years in the future. I would like to contact Ancestry.com to ask this and a few other questions, but I cannot find a sections with a "contact us" mail account. Thanks everyone for your help with all of this. As usual the TIGS people come through.... Many of the listings are "index" only. 3. To Vera and all members. Here is a good source to understand just what records the Emigrant Savings Bank contain - and it seems that one might have to go to the New York Public Library to access all of their records - Are there any members out there who live in the NYC area who might be willing to volunteer to do lookups for our members? I also understand that not all listings are for Irish immigrants - many immigrants of different nationalities joined this bank after arriving in New York City. http://www.nypl.org/research/chss/spe/rbk/faids/emigrant.pdf It is in pdf file and can be printed out on your computer. As for contacting Ancestry.com - go to their main page - scroll down to the bottom and click on "contact us" which will get you to a place to email your question(s). 3. On the TIGS site there is "Irish Acts of Kindness" under resources. When you open that (pdf) at the bottom of the list is Claire Donohue who is a lookup for NYC archives. I asked her to do something for me recently. She did email me back saying she didn't know when she would be in the city next but I hope to hear from her soon. You can also email the archives at this address-- http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/html/contact/archives.shtml Lois in AZ Rich Nichols wrote: >To Vera and all members. > >Here is a good source to understand just what records the Emigrant Savings >Bank contain - and it seems that one might have to go to the New York Public >Library to access all of their records - Are there any members out there >who live in the NYC area who might be willing to volunteer to do lookups for >our members?
