    1. Re: [NY-TROY-IRISH-GENSOC] Matthew Costello
    2. I can't help but to jump in here. Did any of these your Costello's come from Limerick? My gr gr grandmother was Eleanor Costello. In 1831, at St. Peter and Paul Church (Troy), she married my gr gr grandfather, Dennis Rowan (Rohan, Roughan, and many other "creative" spellinigs). The marriage was performed by Father Shanahan. We know nothing of Eleanor's parents or siblings. We do know she was born about 1810, Limerick. About 1838, this Rowan family moved to China/now Arcade, New York. Their children were Maryann, Elizabeth, Edmund, John (these 4 were born in Troy between 1831-1838), Dennis, James, Daniel, Margaret, and Luke (the last 5 were born in China/Arcade between 1838-1852). I always felt (hoped!) that Eleanor Costello and/or Dennis Rowan may have had siblings living in Troy. Kitty **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living.
