Yes, there were few if any photos in the newspaper- i actually have a troy record from 100 or more years ago and its all straight print . The only difference is the ads which might have a drawing or two. I know ancestor .com features pictures of peoples ancestors but having it from Troy seems like a great idea. I am assuming the photos that ancestors.com's photos were donated by family members?? How else would they get photos?
