If you go to the 7th floor at the State Library they have desks and a section where there are people who will help you look up stuff. I had a gentleman walk me to the section and show me the books I was looking for. Then on the 11th floor they have microfilm where you can request information on microfilm. Copy machines are attached to the microfilm machines and it is 10 cents a copy and they do not charge for bad copies. They are very helpfull also. You do have to leave any bags in a locker you can bring in a pen and pad to copy information. Parking is difficult. The lot is full on weekdays and free on weekends. If you get there early you might be able to get in the lot ...there is a charge. I never park there except on weekends. I usually park on a side street and lock my doors. I have no problem walking but if you do you might want to park in a lot. Don't forget to look out of the windows some of the views are quite nice.
